In January 2016, the Ecotone Resilience team was honoured with the visit of the French Ambassador in our pilot zone where he met with Eric Constantino, the then mayor of Abra de Ilog. His Excellency visited the villages of Sigman, Bugtong, Udalo and even participated in a class. This resulted in a technical support from the French Embassy as well as a financial aid for the first marine survey. This visit paved the way to establishing a strong support from both constituencies.
